Art Journaling Series

This workshop is the second in our process-focused art journaling series, open to new and returning artists. We will begin with a mindful warm-up exercise, followed by an art journaling prompt and invitation to explore materials in our art journaling practice. For closing, we will have the opportunity to reflect on our experience and artwork in small groups. If you don’t have an art journal, that’s okay! You can work on paper to add to a journal later.

Suggested Supply List:

  • Art journal or loose paper
  • Paper bag
  • Scrap paper
  • Pencil
  • Gelatos or crayons, markers, colored pencils, oil pastels etc.
  • Collage paper
  • Magazine clippings
  • Fine tip permanent marker or ball point pen
  • Stencils ( You will be shown how to make your own if you don’t have any)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Optional – wax, freezer or parchment paper
