The Guthy-Jackson Charitable Foundation (GJCF) NMOSD Grand Rounds program aims to inform practicing neurology specialists as well as the broader spectrum of neurologists and allied healthcare providers regarding latest information in evidence-based science and medicine of NMOSD. This program features 12 essential topics addressed by experts in the field at a monthly interval. Organized and curated by GJCF advisors, this series of educational webinars enables continuing medical education (CME) credit.
Session 7 entitled โManaging Day-to-Day Non-Relapse Symptomsโ is designed to update knowledge important for understanding acute and chronic symptoms associated with NMOSD but independent from relapse episodes. Included in the discussion is recognition, assessment, and management (medical and physical therapy) interventions that may benefit patientsโ health and well-being. Specific topics include pain, musculoskeletal optimizing and lifestyle strategies for mitigating the impact of NMOSD-related effects
