The Guthy-Jackson Charitable Foundation (GJCF) NMOSD Grand Rounds program aims to inform practicing neurology specialists as well as the broader spectrum of neurologists and allied healthcare providers regarding latest information in evidence-based science and medicine of NMOSD. This program features 12 essential topics addressed by experts in the field at a monthly interval. Organized and curated by GJCF advisors, this series of educational webinars enables continuing medical education (CME) credit.

Session 9 entitled โ€œEvaluating & Optimizing Patient Visual Healthโ€ is designed to update knowledge important for recognizing optic neuritis and visual deficits as manifestations of NMOSD onset or relapse. Diagnosis and clinical management are emphasized as part of a holistic plan for patient care. This topic reflects the need for real-world clinical care to keep pace with NMOSD patients living longer and more dynamic lives in the era of approved therapeutics.
