Featuring Frederike Oertel MD, PhD, Charité University

The Guthy-Jackson Charitable Foundation (GJCF) NMOSD Grand Rounds program aims to inform practicing neurology specialists as well as the broader spectrum of neurologists and allied healthcare providers regarding latest information in evidence-based science and medicine of NMOSD. This program features 12 essential topics addressed by experts in the field at a monthly interval. Organized and curated by GJCF advisors, this series of educational webinars enables continuing medical education (CME) credit.

Presented by Frederike Oertel, MD, PhD of Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Session 2 entitled “Emerging Principles & Practices for Imaging” is designed to update knowledge important for recognition of MRI and OCT imaging relative to neurologic signs and symptoms characteristic of NMOSD vs. MOGAD or MS. Application of this knowledge is intended to aid early and accurate recognition of NMOSD and distinguish it from closely related disorders such as MOGAD or MS.
