The Guthy-Jackson Charitable Foundation (GJCF) NMOSD Grand Rounds program aims to inform practicing neurology specialists as well as the broader spectrum of neurologists and allied healthcare providers regarding latest information in evidence-based science and medicine of NMOSD. This program features 12 essential topics addressed by experts in the field at a monthly interval.  Organized and curated by GJCF advisors, this series of educational webinars enables continuing medical education (CME) credit.

Presented by Brian Weinshenker, MD of the University of Virginia, Session 5 entitled “Toward Harmonized Relapse & Severity Adjudication” is designed to update knowledge important for understanding the signs, symptoms and definitions of relapse events in relation to specific therapeutic regimens or a lack thereof. Specific discussion points in this regard include anatomic localization, targeted neurologic deficits, and severity score for events adjudicated to be relapses.
