Donate to NMO Research with Facebook Fundraisers

Facebook has been reinventing the way people communicate and stay informed of their favorite organizations, and now it’s reinventing the way you can contribute to your favorite cause. They’ve added new features available to the nonprofit community called Donations and Fundraisers.

The Guthy-Jackson Charitable Foundation is excited to participate in this brand-new program. As always, 100 percent of all donations go directly to research, dedicated to solving NMO and NMO/SD.

The foundation already offers multiple ways to raise funds for NMO research:

We’re proud to announce that you can now donate to NMO research directly through Facebook, both on Facebook.com and the Facebook mobile app. Start by visiting our Facebook page and clicking Like.

Facebook describes their new Donate button “a quick way for people to donate… without leaving Facebook.”

At the top of our Facebook page, you’ll see a bright blue Donate button. With only one click, you can select your amount and have your donation submitted directly to The Guthy-Jackson Charitable Foundation inside of Facebook.

Create a Facebook Fundraiser to Encourage More Donations

While the Donate button is a great way to show your support, Fundraisers take advocacy to the next level by allowing you to create your own fundraising page, inspiring the friends and family in your social network to join in on the fun.

Creating a fundraiser is as easy as creating your own event page. Use the link on your Facebook news feed or visit our Fundraisers page to create your own fundraiser. Be sure to share it with family and friends, knowing that 100 percent of all donations will go directly to NMO research.
