This workshop will introduce participants to oil pastels and the versatility of the medium. Incorporating mindfulness, we’ll explore color and texture through process-focused artmaking . We will begin with a warm up exercise, focused on breathwork and creating a sense of calm; followed by an introduction to oil pastels, and exploration through artmaking. For closing, we will make space to reflect on our experience and share our work.
Workshops are open to patients and caregivers on a limited availability basis. Art supplies will be provided and shipped free of charge within the continental U.S. to those who have not recently attended a workshop. The last day to register to receive the provided art supplies is Thursday, November 9th or until the workshop is sold out. You may still register after November 9th, if the workshop is not sold out. However, you will need to provide your own supplies.
